True history using primary source documents

You won’t find our students behind screens all day. Instead, we embrace interactive learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Through Socratic discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world application of their learning, students strive to pursue truth, beauty, and goodness while also leading the state in academic achievement.

Why Lafayette Academy?

At Lafayette Academy, we understand the concerns surrounding excessive screen time and its impact on young minds. That’s why we’ve created an environment where students can thrive without the constant distraction of screens. Our curriculum is designed to foster active learning, where students hold books in their hands, engage deeply with their peers, and participate in vibrant discussions led by our dedicated teachers.

Our Four Classical Virtues

Equally as important as our quest for academic rigor and excellence is our pursuit of virtuous character in our young men and women. Virtue is at the core of all that happens at Lafayette Academy, from the literature we read to the conversations in the hallways. Our content-rich curriculum is the medium through which we are able to inculcate virtue into the hearts of our students. The four classical virtues of prudence, temperance, justice and fortitude will be are taught, modeled and expected by all those who are a part of the Lafayette community.

courage, optimism, perseverance, good citizenship, loyalty

What Parents Are Saying About Lafayette Academy

Our son comes home in a great mood every day because he is now proud of the work that he is doing. [Lafayette] has reignited his excitement to learn, and that is largely because the faculty challenges him and encourages him to be excellent. He feels rewarded because his days in the classroom are focused on education, and he isn’t given the opportunity to become distracted by student drama. He also finds the whole experience to be fun! Before he felt like a drop in the ocean, but now he is the captain of his own ship!

[Our daughter] has grown leaps and bounds…[we] see her light just pouring out of her when she comes home each day.  We can tell she just loves and enjoys school so much. What an incredibly vibrant atmosphere you are teaching these kids in and they, in turn, radiate and respond back.

— Lafayette Academy Parent

So far this year, my kids have memorized the Gettysburg Address, done incredible artwork, improved their reading ability, and so much more. They are truly growing as scholars and as people. We are so pleased with the education they are receiving at Lafayette Academy.

Our hope is that no family will avoid enrollment due to our tuition and related costs. We work to provide financial assistance and scholarships for families who desire a classical education and have a true financial need.
